Ur2ndlot Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Ur2ndlot auction. By participating in our auction, all registered dealers and their representatives agree to comply with the following rules, conditions, and arbitration policies.

1. General Rules

• The Ur2ndlot Auction is a dealers-only auction. No retail buyers are permitted.
• All dealers must be registered before buying or selling vehicles.
• All vehicles purchased must be paid for on the day of sale by cash, check, or floor plan.
• No children or anyone under 18 years of age are allowed on the premises.
• Entry to the auction premises is at your own risk; the auction assumes no responsibility for injury or damage.

2. Safety Guidelines

• Never stand between vehicles in the auction building.
• Dealers are responsible for their employees and must maintain proper insurance coverage.
• Do not rev engines inside the auction building.
• All inspections must be performed on the lot, not inside the auction building.
• Do not interfere with auction drivers during vehicle movement.
• Use extreme caution near moving vehicles at all times.
• Vehicles with safety issues (e.g., bad brakes, fuel leaks, or starting in gear) must be disclosed before consignment.

3. Dealer & Payment Policies

• Only the dealer owner may add or remove authorized representatives.
• Payments must be made in full on the day of sale by cash or company check. No personal checks accepted.
• Vehicles left on the property must have keys inside them. South Chicago Auto Auction is not responsible for damage, theft, or vandalism.

4. Title Policies

• All vehicles must have proper serial number identification and valid titles.
• “Title Attached (TA)” sales must be announced. Failure to announce TA is grounds for rejection.
• Sellers must produce assignable titles within 28 days.
• Buyers should not spend money on TA vehicles until titles are received.
• If the title is not provided within 28 days, the buyer may return the vehicle (with proper notice).
• Returned vehicles for missing titles are subject to a $100 processing fee.
• Salvage, rebuilt, junk, or flood titles must be announced. Undisclosed branded titles are grounds for return.

5. Arbitration & Responsibility

• Ur2ndlot Auction assumes no responsibility for mileage discrepancies.
• All arbitration decisions made by the Arbitration Manager are final.
• Buyers must address arbitration concerns on the day of sale, before leaving the auction.
• All vehicles sold “As Is” are not subject to arbitration, except for required announced conditions.
• Seller and buyer must await arbitration results before removing vehicles from premises.

6. Odometer Policy

• The auction assumes no responsibility for odometer accuracy or mileage statement validity.
• Sellers must announce if the odometer is broken, altered, or shows different mileage.
• Vehicles 10 years or older are automatically sold “As Is” unless otherwise announced.
• Dealers involved in odometer tampering will face suspension and be required to repurchase the vehicle.

7. Arbitration Guarantee

• Only the seller can assign an arbitration guarantee, which must be announced on the block.
• Guarantees cover major components such as frame, engine, transmission, and differential under defined time limits.
• Vehicles sold for $1500 or less, over 100,000 miles, or over 10 years old are automatically “As Is.”
• Must-announce items include frame damage, missing emissions equipment, deployed airbags, branded titles, etc.

8. Liability & Conduct

• Vehicles left on the auction premises are at the owner’s risk.
• South Chicago Auto Auction reserves the right to refuse service or void any transaction at any time.
• Dealers must have an approved gate pass before removing any vehicle.
• Outside transactions must be processed through auction management.
• All vehicles are sold strictly “As Is” unless announced otherwise.

9. Inspection Policy

• If a third-party inspection confirms a defect, the seller bears inspection costs; otherwise, the buyer does.
• Vehicles sold “As Is” are not arbitratable, except for mandatory announced issues.

10. Final Provisions

• South Chicago Auto Auction may modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
• Participation in any auction sale constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of all rules and policies herein.
